National Student Drug and Alcohol Conference 2025

Calling all students' unions, universities, colleges and community organisations!

Returning for its 5th year, our annual Student, Drug and Alcohol Conference brings a variety of individuals together to explore the key issues surrounding alcohol and drug use in students.

This conference offers a unique opportunity to learn from sector experts, share knowledge and best practices, develop strategies, and network with peers dedicated to student wellbeing and addressing substance use.

This year’s conference will delve into a dynamic range of topics related to student drug and alcohol use. Highlights include:

  • Exploring the growing sober curiosity movement,
  • Building effective partnerships with community drug and alcohol services
  • Innovative strategies for engaging students in substance use initiatives.
  • Manchester Metropolitan University’s work in harm reduction
  • Examining the intersections between substance use, neurodiversity, sexual violence, and mental health.

We’re thrilled to host this year’s event in person at the University of Northampton. The conference will run from 09:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with tickets including refreshments, lunch, and a digital resource pack to support ongoing learning after the event.
